The inauguration was attended by Sen. JV Ejercito Estrada, acting Philippine Health Insurance Corp. president and CEO Beverly Ho and Quezon Gov. Angelina Tan.
With an estimated 75-bed capacity, the newly opened emergency facility is equipped with modern treatment areas and medical equipment designed to expand the hospital’s ability to provide accessible and quality healthcare services to patients across Quezon province.
Among its upgraded facilities are isolation rooms, minor operating room, ENT and ophthalmology areas, behavioral area, laboratory services and in-house pharmacy.
Hospital officials said the expansion marks a significant step in strengthening the province’s healthcare infrastructure and improving response capacity for emergency cases.
The hospital, located in Lucena City, has a nominal capacity of 200 beds, though it regularly manages a daily patient load of 500 to 600 patients.
