CEBU, Philippines — Seven job order employees and a regular employee of the Dumaguete City government, after a random test, was found positive of using illegal drugs.
Human Resource officer Dino Depositario said that of the seven JOs, six are detailed in three departments including the task force, and the traffic management offices.
The work of the JOs were automatically not renewed this January, the renewal period, but the regular employee can contest with the findings at his own expense.
Depositario said the drug test was in line with the program of cleansing the government and help in the fight against illegal drugs in the country. Other departments will soon have their respective tests among their employees, he added. (FREEMAN)
