RTC Judge Bitas inducts NPC-Tacloban officers

CEBU, Philippines – Judge Crisologo Bitas of the Regional Trial Court-Branch 7 in Tacloban City on Sunday inducted into office the pioneering officers of the newly-formed National Press Club-Tacloban.

Sworn into office were Eileen Nazareno Ballesteros, of the Leyte Samar Daily Express and CBCP News, as president; Fred Padernos, publisher of San Juanico Times, (vice president); Sylvia Abadengo, of PRTV-12 and DyBR (secretary); Gay Gaspay, of TSAT News and media coordinator of Express It At The Park Forum (treasurer); Ronald Reyes, of Manila Standard Today and LSDE (auditor); and Menchie Clemencio, publisher of People’s Forum (public information officer).

Also inducted were the directors of the board: Lawyer Imelda Nartea (publisher of Eastern Times); Dalmacio Grafil (publisher of LSDE);Marlon Necito Taño (Agence France-Presse and The Freeman correspondent); Mel Caspe (Remate/Manila Standard Today/EV Mail reporter); Belen Cordero (Tacloban Media Special Advocacy Team); Louie Quebec (DyVL-Aksyon Radyo anchor); Mark Morallos (blocktime radio broadcaster); Nimfa Patawaran (Bombo Radyo-Tacloban station manager); Aurora Casimpan (Philippine Information Agency-8); Jeff Manibay (CAT8-TV manager); Noel Loyogoy (DyBR news editor); and Jennifer Gaquit (UNTV reporter).
