President Sergio Osmeña’s appointees in Leyte - Part 1
Don Sergio Suico Osmeña Sr., who became the first and only Cebuano to become president, took his oath in the United States on August 1, 1944 upon the death of President Quezon. He came to the Philippines on October 20, 1944 together with Gen. Douglas MacArthur in the famous, Leyte Landings. Osmeña made the Leyte Provincial Capitol as his office. The following were his appointees in the Province of Leyte:
