LOOKS COME IN HANDY. Before the days of Angkas, motorcycles-for-hire were already servicing tailored routes. One EAR source recalled an awkward encounter with someone she thought was a motorcycle-for-hire driver on her way to the Capitol.
She got on the motorcycle and asked to be taken to the Capitol. The driver said nothing but complied anyway. When they reached their destination she tried to pay the man but got the surprise of her life when he told her, with a little amusement, that he was not a motorcycle-for-hire driver.
She later said the driver told her he did not have the heart to refuse her because she was good-looking, something that only embarrassed her more.
