Graduation

“There's a time for joy, a time for tears, a time we'll treasure through the years. We'll remember always, Graduation day…”

It's graduation season once again. It's that time of the year when joy fills the air for both the students and the parents.

Graduation --- the reason for the season of celebration.

For the students --- it means goodbye to classroom instructions, the litany of exams, school projects, library work, research, classroom activities, etc., and a welcome hello to the professional world, paper works, office routine, human relations, meetings, overtimes, etc.

For the parents --- it means goodbye to tuition fees, allowance, miscellaneous expenses, etc. Game over. At last! But most of all, feeling proud and happy to see the fulfillment of a dream - that of seeing Dodong or Tata or Inday graduate.

We salute the students and the parents, and the teachers as well --- they who are responsible for the academic knowledge that the students have acquired, they who have helped the students become what they are today --- the graduates. Truly, without the teachers, there could be no doctors, nurses, lawyers, engineers, architects, bankers, etc.

We extend our warm felicitations to all students, parents and teachers. Congratulations for a job well done.

To all the graduates: I wish you all the best as you celebrate this significant milestone in your life. As you look back to your student days, give time to pause and ponder and realize that it is only in looking back that you come to appreciate and put value to what you have gone through, to what you have done, to what you have achieved, and be happy about it. Be one as you look back to the agony and ecstasy of the scholastic journey, the trials and tribulations, the challenges, the joy, the fun, the seasons in the sun. But most of all, thank God Almighty for giving you the privilege of finally finishing your degree. To God be the glory. Congratulations to all of you as you graduate. I join you in this celebration of a lifetime - along with your beloved parents and all those who have played a part in your journey towards the fulfillment of a dream. God speed.
