Lapu-Lapu assists 2,000 evacuees from Tacloban

CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City government, in close coordination with civic organizations such as the Lions Club-Cebu, yesterday fed, clothed, and sheltered more than 2,000 typhoon victims that arrived from Tacloban City.

The evacuees arrived at the Naval Forces Central Command on board Philippine Naval Ship LLC 551.

GMA Kapuso Foundation also gave relief goods.

The city government  has four evacuation sites located in barangays Gun-ob, Looc, and Babag.

Philippine Navy officials stationed at Naval Forces Center in Barangay Canjulao have told Mayor Paz Radaza that a big number of typhoon victims will come to Cebu. (FREEMAN)
