JKV, Brazzers maintain perfect starts in HNDL
CEBU, Philippines — Team JKV and the Brazzers kept their unbeaten records intact in the Hoop Nation Developmental League (HNDL)-Sunday Night Hoops Season 2 powered by Sunsport at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Patrick Ybañez banged in 21 points laced with three rebounds and three assists as JKV pummeled the Benchwarmer, 98-76, to stretch their perfect start to 4-0.
Not to be outdone, Eugene Boholst collected 10 points, six boards, and four steals as the Brazzers edged TUF, 59-53, to extend their hot streak to three games in a row.
On the other hand, Ace Ompok scattered 13 points, nine rebounds, and four assists as the Central Bloc-kers triumphed for the fourth time in five games after whacking of Metro Ayala 2, 74-62.
Rescue Fone improved its record to 3-2 after posting back-to-back wins against City Sports, 65-60, and Seda ACC, 44-43, behind the hot hands of Jerson Ricaplaza, who accumulated a total of 39 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, and two steals in those games.
In the other results, Rustans edged Samsung, 56-50, for its second victory in three matches, Lenovo bested the Unknown, 64-56, to snap out of its two-game jinx, while Palfox downed Milestone, 61-55, to finally barge into the win column after three failed attempts.
Cheboy Sidra topped Rustans with 15 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, Elgie Gonzaga tallied 17 markers, six rebounds, and one steal for Lenovo, while Mico Celocia paced Palfox with 16 points, eight assists, and two steals. — EBV
