CEBU, Philippines — Glenn Maghinay dropped 25 points spiked with 11 rebounds and five assists to power the Cruz Amigos to a 90-55 rout of SKBC in the 1st Amicis Basketball League (ABL) season at the Consolacion Sports Complex.
Dodong Tundag added 19 points, six rebounds and four assists while Dominic Sarsalejo chipped in 12 markers and six boards as Cruz Amigos of team owner/head coach Atty. Eric Cruz tightened their grip of the solo second place in the 29 Under category with a 3-1 win-loss record.
The two protagonists were actually tied at halftime, 39-39, but Cruz Amigos launched a searing 28-6 in the third stanza, then closed the match with a 23-10 spurt to come up with a 45-point blowout.
Charles Alano finished with 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, Jomarin Digol tallied 16 points and seven rebounds while Rolando Codera netted 11 points and six assists but all their efforts went down the drain at SKBC bowed out of the tournament with only one win in five elimination round games.
Games of the maiden ABL season backed up by North Sports Apparel, VDrink Malunggay Juice, Fighter 50 Wine, and Consolacion LGU headed by mayor Joyjoy Alegado are under the supervision of commissioner Lee Mar Dahil assisted by technical committee chief Aurelio Eslawan. EBV
