USPF, USC chalk up back-to-back wins

CEBU, Philippines —  The defending champion University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) and the University of San Carlos (USC) posted back-to-back wins in the secondary boys volleyball event of the 19th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) season at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) yesterday.

After edging the  University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R), USPF gave the debuting University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue (UCLM) Campus a rude welcome 25-13, 25-19.

The equally-aggressive USC-BED spikers also coasted to their second straight victory with a 25-18, 25-14 thrashing of Southwestern (SWU)-Phinma.

USJ-R, on the other hand, bounced back from its loss to USPF by whipping guest team Sisters of Mary School (SMS)-Boystown in straight sets, 25-16, 25-18.
