Lee tops Go Green footrace

CEBU, Philippines — Spectrum runner Prince Joey Lee added feather to his cap after winning the 12K men’s open title in the Cereb’s Go Green Run 2019 yesterday morning at the SM City-Cebu grounds.

Lee emerged as the fastest with a time of 39 minutes and 36 seconds beating Kenyan Joseph Mururi, who settled for second in 39:49, while Joseph Emia wound up third in 44:03. clocking.

In the distaff side,  Lee’s teammate Lizane Abella copped the championship with a time of 51:42 followed by Cherry Andrin (51:43) and Angel Estillore (1:01:23), who placed second and third, respectively.

In the 6K action, Kenyan Eric Chipsiror and Asia Paraasi reigned supreme in their respective divisions.

Chipsiror topped the men’s class with a time of 19:05, while Florendo Lapis and Michael Largo claimed the second and third place with a time of 20:32 and 20:35, respectively.

Paraasi won the women’s tiara with a time of 24:55 as Joanne Alinsud settled for second with a time of 25:19 and Antonette Velayo in third with her time of 27:30. (FREEMAN)
