Mighty Dragons paddle way to bronze medal

Caecent No-ot Magsumbol - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — Cebu’s Sugbu Mighty Dragons made sure they won’t go home empty-handed after winning bronze medal in the 2nd Paddle for Womanity at Balanan Lake in Siaton, Negros Oriental the other day.

Team Bakunawa of Iligan City got the champion’s trophy of the 300-meter race with a time of 1:33.60, while Dumaguete’s Yellow Fins got the silver with a 1:37.62 clocking.

The Sugbu Mighty Dragons took the bronze in 1:39.35. PADS, another Cebu-based team, wound up fourth in 1:33.60.

It was a double celebration for the Sugbu Mighty Dragons as their bowside pacer, Killiaen Ferrer, was honored as ‘Lady of the Games’ for being a true example of “a sportswoman with brains, beauty, and brawn” combined altogether.
