CEBU, Philippines — More than 2,000 runners will hit the roads early morning this Sunday for the Cebu Parklane International Hotel's 8th Hunat Sugbu: Dagan Para Ni Maning that will start and end at the Terraces grounds of Ayala Center Cebu.

"We did our last meeting the other day with our logistics and our race director for the preparations and we are all set and very ready for the race this Sunday," Hunat Sugbu chairman Nicanor Nacorda said.

Nacorda expressed his gratitude to the running community for the support they had been giving to the race all through the years.

"I am very thankful to the running community for patronizing Hunat Sugbu and hopefully in the next editions of the run they will give us the same support."

The participants will see action in the 3K, 6K, 12K and 21K categories.

Aside from medals, a total of P72,000 in cash prize will be given away to the top finishers in each category.

Proceeds of the charity race dedicated to the late Manuel Go Ting, the founding president of Cebu Parklane Hotel, will be used to support the Cebu Parklane's medical mission with Jesu Christi as their beneficiary.

Part of the proceeds wil also be given to Alex Silverio, a paratriathlete who wants to achieve his dream of reaching the Paralympics.
