Global Cebu faces revitalized Aguilas

CEBU, Philippines — Global Cebu FC returns to its turf to face the more improved Davao Aguilas for the fourth time in the Philippine Football League (PFL) at the Cebu City Sports Center tonight.

Game time is set at 7 pm.

The two sides fought to a 2-2 draw during their previous match in Davao City, but Global Cebu expects a tougher match-up this time as the Aguilas are now reinforced by Philippine Azkals mainstays Phil and James Younghusband.

With this, the Global Cebu booters will have to make a huge adjusment on their defense as the two Fil-British strikers are expected to carry the offensive load for the Aguilas.

Aside from the Younghusbands, the Aguilas will also get a big boost from another national team member James de Jong.

Global Cebu, which hopes to overtake Kaya Makati FC in the No. 2 spot, will rely on its team captain Misagh Bahadoran together with Paul Mulders, Patrick Deyto and Darryl Roberts.

The Aguilas, on the other hand, are ranked No.7 and are looking to claim their first ever win in the tournament. (FREEMAN)
