Run 4 CHIGI set on September 2

CEBU, Philippines - Another running event for a noble cause will take place in the  Queen City of the South via the 'Run 4 CHIGI: A run for humanity' on September 2 at the Parkmall grounds in Mandaue City.

Spearheaded by CHIGI (Compassion for Humanity International Group, Inc.), proceeds of  the charity race will be used for the organization's community adoption project in Barangay Subangdaku in Mandaue particularly with the families' livelihood and the children's scholarship.

A community-based, non-profit organization registered by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), CHIGI is working towards community development and empowerment.

It aims to enhance the quality of life by alleviating poverty through comprehensive programs in education, employment generation, healthcare, food and shelter with the cooperation and involvement of local residents in strategic community partnerships.

The race features the 3K, 5K and 10K categories.

Though a fund-raiser, the organizers are still offering cash prizes for the winners in both male and female divisions.

Aside from medals, the 10K champions will pocket P2,000 each while the second and third will take home P1,500 and P1,000, respectively.

The top three finishers in 5K will receive P1,500, P1,000 and P800 while the top three in the 3K will get P1,000, P800 and P500.

Registration fee is pegged at P350 for the 3K, P400 for the 5K and P450 for the 10K inclusive of a singlet, race bib, raffle ticket and post-race refreshments.
