CEBU, Philippines- Defending champion MGM Sounds and Promotions and the ASPA Scaffoldings terminated their respective foes to set up a championship duel in the 7th Christian Athletic Volunteers (CAV) Invitational Basketball Tournament at the Tejero Sports Complex.
James Ferraren sparkled with 22 points as MGM Sounds booted out Crystal King in lopsided 83-69 fashion, while ASPA Scaffolding booked the remaining final ticket with a 68-63 victory over the San Remigio Properties.
Mark Abadia paced ASPA with 22 points, while former commercial star Alex Cainglet contributed 18 points. Armand Ponce and Adrian Lao combined for 29 points in a losing effort for San Remigio.
The best-of-three championship series between MGM Sounds and ASPA will begin on April 14 alongside the battle for third place between Crystal King and San Remigio Properties. (FREEMAN)
