Suaybaguio, Andrin sisters shine in MAD Run 3

CEBU, Philippines - Aiza Suaybaguio remained the fastest runner in the women's 5K category during the Make A Difference (MAD) Run 3 yesterday in Brgy. Lahug, this city. Suaybaguio completed the race in 22 minutes and 25 seconds, bumping off the Andrin sisters Jhean and Cherry to second and third with a 23:43 and 23:44 clockings. Miljune Luterte topped the men’s 5K in 17:38, just a second ahead of Kierl Jie Emnace as Michal Roca wound up third in18:35. The other Andrin, Lovely Fe, came out the fastest in the women's 10K with the time of 46:22 followed by Karla Cosep (46:25) and Lynle Cardenas (48:49). The top three in the men's side were James Milbe (35:12), Frankie Canumay (35:34) and John Darel Manos (35:48). In the 16K action, Philip Ronoh outsmarted fellow Kenyan runner Douglas Mwiti for the top spot. Ronoh touched down the finish line in 58 minutes and 15 seconds, while Mwiti clocked in 59:41. Adonis Singson landed at third in 1:00:42. In the distaff side, Irine Kipchumba of Kenya bagged the crown in 1:21:42. Joeyry Lee came in second 1:22:51 followed by Mary Jane Beboso in 1:26:42.
