Teacher, 3 others nabbed for drugs
CEBU, Philippines — Four people, including a 22-year-old female teacher, were arrested dawn yesterday in separate buy-bust operations in Lapu-Lapu City.
Police Col. Clarito Baja, city police director, identified the suspects as Elymar Matidios Ravi, 28; Lea Mae Sinugbojan Dajao, 22; Ramel Ynot, 36; and Reneboy Sinugbohan, 38.
Dajao, a private school teacher, and Ravi were arrested during a follow-up buy-bust operation at 5 a.m. yesterday in Sitio Mahayahay, Barangay Bankal, Lapu-Lapu City.
Both residents of Saac I, Barangay Buaya in the same city, were also included in the drugs watchlist of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office. Seized from them were 101.2 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P688,160.
According to Baja, Dajao and Ravi were placed under surveillance for three weeks after receiving reports that they are among the big players of illegal drugs in the city. Based on information gathered by the police, among Dajao’s customers are her own students.
In another buy-bust operation at Sitio Saac II, Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City, police also arrested Ynot and Sinugbohan selling illegal drugs. Seized from them were 15 packs of shabu.
All four suspects are now detained at the police office while charges are being prepared. FPL (FREEMAN)
