CEBU, Philippines — About P6.9 million worth of shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Waterfront Police Station (WPS) Saturday night at Sitio Back Blessed, Barangay Tejero, Cebu City.
The police identified the arrested person as Erzard Delima Plando, 34, a resident of Barangay Pasil, Cebu City, and was considered a high-value individual at the regional level.
WPS Station Chief, Police Major Henry Orbiso, said they received information about Plando's illegal activities, so they conducted surveillance and validation activities, which turned out to be positive.
Orbiso also ordered his subordinates to conduct a buy-bust operation against Plando.
During the operation, the police personnel seized 1015 grams of shabu worth P6.9M and a motorcycle that was used to transport illegal drugs.
Plando said that it was just recently that he was given illegal drugs to transport and was paid P20,000 for each delivery of the illegal substance.
Cebu City Police Office Director, Police Colonel Ireneo Dalogdog, personally witnessed the operation against Plando.
“Posible kay usually pag naay occasion mao pud na ang kusog sa mga bintahan sa illegal nga druga. Actually, mayroon tayong mga information itong nahuli na galing sa drug known personality but that is subject for validation,” Dalogdog said. — GAN (FREEMAN)
