CCPO refocuses limit on unvaxxed diners

CEBU, Philippines —  The Cebu City Police Office is now strictly checking and inspecting the establishments to make sure that only vaccinated individuals are allowed to dine-in.

This is also in line with the directive of the Cebu City government.

Police Lt Colonel Wilbert Parilla, deputy director for operations of CCPO, said they re-enforced being strict about the curfew through their Oplan Bulabog last Monday night.

"Because that is also the directive of the LGU, that we will focus again on the implementation of Oplan Bulabog considering nga yesterday (Monday), atong positive cases (COVID-19) is 145, so nag-increase ta," said Parilla.

He added this is also after they received reports that establishments, most especially restobars, have failed to observe the directives prohibiting unvaccinated individuals from dining-in.

“So mao ni karon atong focus, to check on establishments kung ilaha sad ning gisunod," said Parilla.

Aside from this, they are also intensifying their monitoring on the implementation of curfew hours to limit the movement of the public.

This is after authorities have observed that limiting of movement among the people has decreased the number of COVID-19 cases.

"So ato ni i-focus balik ang establishments, imnanan, restobar, again basin ang establishment, based sa directive sa Mayor, na only those vaccinated ang i-entertain," said Parilla.

Parilla also said that even as of this late in combat against COVID-19, they could still apprehend violators against the protocol of wearing of facemasks along with the curfew ordinance. — GMR (FREEMAN)
