Cebu City A3 group urged to register online for vaccination

Examples of conditions under priority group A3 are chronic respiratory disease and infection, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, immunodeficiency state, among others.

CEBU, Philippines — Cebu City residents who belong to the A3 priority group for the COVID-19 vaccination rollout are now urged to register themselves online.

Those under the A3 priority are the persons with comorbidities.

Councilor David Tumulak made the announcement encouraging the individuals under A3 who are willing to be vaccinated.

“We will announce properly when,” said Tumulak.

Examples of conditions under priority group A3 are chronic respiratory disease and infection, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, immunodeficiency state, among others.

They can register at https://mics.cebucity.gov.ph/vims/page/register or https://www.PaBakunaTa.com.

To recall, City Health officer-in-charge Jeffrey Ibones said that online registration is important to be included in the vaccine allocation from the Department of Health.

He explained that vaccine allocation from the national government is based on the number of individuals who registered online.

After receiving 9,000 doses of Sinovac last Friday, the Cebu City government resumed yesterday its vaccination rollout for senior citizens.

The vaccination was held in the city’s vaccination sites in UC-Banilad, Robinsons Galleria, and SM Seaside.

Based on the City Health Department’s masterlist, almost 30,000 senior have already registered online.

Meanwhile, Ibones said the city will start to administer the second dose of Sinovac tomorrow.

For the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine, Ibones said it will be another schedule since its interval varies from the Sinovac.

According to the DOH, the interval of doses varies per vaccine. For those currently available, Sinovac is taken four weeks (28 days) apart, while AstraZeneca is taken four to 12 weeks apart.
