13 arrested, ‘drug den’ busted in Cebu City operation

CEBU, Philippines —  At least 13 men were arrested in an operation that led to the discovery of an alleged drug den at a construction site in Barangay Apas, Cebu City early morning on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

Authorities led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and military intelligence personnel also confiscated about 163 packs of suspected shabu weighing about 10 grams.

They also seized drug paraphernalia, four mobile phones, a motorcycle, and the money used in the buy-bust operation.

The suspects were identified as Angel Candillada, 44, the one who allegedly maintained the den, and ‘visitors’ Jasper Mabitado, 24; Jaysson Candillada, 21; Clint Mark Alferes, 32; Jaime Zaspa, 41; Gregorio Donganciso, 27; Rogelio Baculi, 27; Pedro Respecio, 34; Ronel Sereneo, 33; Jester Lozada, 32; Arnel Hermosa, 38; Joeferson Denuyo, 27; and Abraham Estrella, 48.

All of them are workers at the construction site.

In a video of the arrest, the alleged drug den is located at a makeshift shelter right beside a building that is under construction.
