CEBU, Philippines —  Around P500,000 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated from three drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Bohol province Tuesday night.

The elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-7 arrested Judelyn Perfecio, 41, the subject of the operation, and her cohorts—her brother, Joey Perfecio, 40, and Andrew Abanto, 37.

Three packs of shabu weighing at least 75 grams, buy-bust money, a cellular phone, and other paraphernalia were recovered from the suspects.

Authorities are set to file charges against them for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165.

PDEA-7 spokesperson Leia Albiar said Judelyn was placed under surveillance for three weeks before the operation was hatched.

Judelyn could dispose of at least 50 grams of shabu weekly based on initial police investigation.

"Igsuon na si Judelyn and Joey but ang babae jud ang subject, then cohort si Andrew," Albiar told reporters.

On Monday night, four drug suspects were also arrested in two separate buy-bust operations conducted by the Police Regional Office (PRO)-7 in Carcar town and Talisay City.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of over P1 million worth of illegal drugs. — KQD (FREEMAN)
