DSWD gives food packs to Central Visayas LGUs

CEBU, Philippines —  The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-7  has released a total of 99,256 family food packs to 71 local government units (LGU) equivalent to P39.1 million worth of relief assistance.

The DSWD-7, in a statement, said that among those who received the family food packs are 3,400 stranded individuals from the different provinces and regions, including students and displaced workers.

This is part of the relief augmentation effort of the national government during the community quarantine against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
