CEBU, Philippines — A 19-year-old girl is charged in court for allegedly selling and keeping illegal drugs.

Claire Villahermosa, a resident of Barangay Labangon, Cebu City, is charged with violation of Sections 5 (selling of shabu) and 11 (possession of shabu) of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

The Labangon police conducted a buy bust operation last May 15 in Sitio Cekalco, Barangay Labangon against Villahermosa and the poseur buyer was able to buy shabu from the accused.

Upon her arrest, the police also recovered from Villahermosa’s possession 274.35 grams of shabu.

In the inquest proceeding, Villahermosa chose not to execute a counter affidavit to answer the allegations filed against her.

Prosecutor III Noel Cellona indicted Villahermosa of the crime charged after finding probable cause.

No bail was recommended for Villahermosa's temporary liberty. (FREEMAN)
