Police Officer 2 Lesley Toquero of the Women and Children Protection Desk of Mandaue City Police Office Station 1 said the victim, who was a Grade 4 Special Education, had been wandering around the school premises late Monday night when the incident happened.

According to Toquero, both Adoncillo and Maloloy-on were crewmembers of a construction team working on one of the buildings at the Mandaue City Central School.

Based on investigation, the victim, who hails from Barangay Looc, had been walking in the school premises around 9 p.m. last Monday when the two construction workers approached her.

The victim tried to resist but was overpowered by the two suspects.

The following day, she recounted the incident to her mother who then reported to police authorities.

"Nisumbong siya sa iyang mother the following day ug nag-conduct dayon og follow up operation hinungdan nga ato na-arresto ang usa sa mga suspects," Toquero said.

Police authorities with the mother and the victim went to the construction site where the victim positively identified Adoncillo, leading to his arrest, but Maloloy-on managed to escape. (FREEMAN)
