CEBU, Philippines - A heated argument as to who will take a passenger who had a goat with him ended with a tricycle driver stabbing his fellow driver in Sitio Mananga 1, Talisay City Wednesday morning.

PO1 Othelo Victor Largo said both the victim, Alex Abdiano, and the suspect, Tirso Quiñnez, travel the same route for their tricycles.

Before the incident, the two were reportedly waiting for a passenger when someone approached them and asked if he could board the tricycle with his goat.

However, Quiñnez refused to board the goat, saying that he had another passenger waiting for him.

Quiñnez told the man to board his goat on Abdiano's tricycle. This reportedly started an argument between Quiñnez and Abdiano.

Out of anger, Quiñnez went home and immediately went back with a knife. He then suddenly stabbed Abdiano on the right side of his body.

"Nagpalaban nalang og kutsilyo ang suspek kay gamay man ni siya itandi sa biktima," Largo said.

The victim was rushed to the Talisay District Hospital for treatment.

Police are still conducting further investigation for the possible arrest of the suspect who escaped after the incident. (FREEMAN)
