Bongabong said that he submitted the report to the city government for information and immediate action. He said that the sub-villages have narrow access roads and are identified as densely populated.

“If dili ni maaksyonan dayon kay maglisod gyud ta og penetrate and maka-cause nuon og grabeng damage sa sitio,” he said.

“Importante gyud kaayo ang road widening diha nga areas pareha sa re-blocking nila nga gibuhat karon gud, nindot gyud ang impact sa pagpugong sa pagdako sa kayo,” Bongabong added.

The City Council referred Bongabong’s report to the Office of the City Mayor, Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, and Department of Engineering and Public Works for perusal and recommendations.  The council also requested the fire bureau to submit report about the fire cases in the city.

“I haven’t heard they have filed cases against the people responsible for the fire incidents in the city (sic),” said City Councilor Gerardo Carillo. (FREEMAN)
