Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa, Cebu’s Silver Anniversary celebration begun with welcome cocktails at the Ocean Pavilion. Guests were treated to a specialty Champagne Bar inside the pavilion, and a Beer Bar at the garden, while being serenaded with popular songs from the 90s. As Mariah Carey’s “Dream Lover” was played, which was the #1 song on the Billboard Top 100 on the week of the resort’s opening last October 23, 1993, a fantastic fireworks display lit up the night sky.
Exclusive black coasters shuttled the guests from the Ocean Pavilion to the Marquee for the dinner festivities.
The Marquee looked elegant in black and silver accents and was made even more splendid with a stunning chandelier at the center and perched above the Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra, which played music from 1993 to 2018.
They then raffled off complimentary stays to their sister properties in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, and their very own resort.
Truly, it was a night of wonder and magnificence as the resort celebrated its silver birthday with dear friends from the media, top clients, and loyal guests.
