Dr. Atty. Lourdes Libres Rosaroso: Doctor, Lawyer, Educator

CEBU, Philippines — St Paul College Foundation Inc. (SPCFI) recently had the unveiling of a bust of Dr. Atty. Lourdes Libres Rosaroso, the learning institution’s multi-talented founder.

Held on October 4 at the SPCFI Bulacao Campus, the unveiling was led by SPCFI president Randolph Libres, together with the members of the SPCFI Board of Trustees and the entire SPCFI family.

Family members, co-workers, medical, paralegal and media colleagues shared words of remembrance prior to the formal unveiling ceremony – recalling fond memories and experiences they had with Lourdes Libres Rosaroso as a doctor, a lawyer, an educator, a mentor, a friend, and mother.

Born in 1935, Libres Rosaroso founded St. Paul Academy in 1985 with a one-year nursing aide course that had a pioneering batch of 80 students. The school became the Cebu St. Paul College in 1989, and was eventually renamed to St Paul College Foundation Inc. in 2000. (YRST)
