Olivia Culpo mocked for energy gap

CEBU, Philippines —  Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, who hosted the 69th Miss Universe finals, trended on Twitter Philippines yesterday along with her first runner-up, our very own Janine Tugonon. This was because viewers found her hosting lackluster, and at best, showed fake enthusiasm. She also had a confused look while double-checking the final results on her cue card.

As the US-based Janine was in the audience, netizens went crazy with their memes and funny tweets, including this one: “If the host, for any reason, cannot fulfill her duties, the first runner-up takes over,” reviving a good-natured grudge among Pinoy pageant fans who felt Janine deserved to win over Olivia in 2012.

Other comments said they are hankering for Steve Harvey to return as Miss Universe host after Olivia and co-host Mario Lopez’s “boring, dull, they-did-not-want-to-be-there” performance.
