Japanese Film Festival 2013 in Cebu

CEBU, Philippines - The Japan Foundation Manila in collaboration with the Consular Office of Japan in Cebu, Japanese Association Cebu, Inc.; The Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cebu, Inc.; the Ayala Center Cebu and with the support of WAO Corporation will hold the much awaited Japanese Festival “Eiga Sai 2013”.

Nine excellent movies lineup will be screened from August 7 to 11 at Cinema 4 of Ayala Center Cebu.  It’s open to the public, for free, on a first-come-first-serve basis.

This Film Festival is part of the celebration of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Month in July and the 40th year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation, with the theme, “Thoughts Connected, Future Connected.” In 2006, during the golden jubilee celebration of the diplomatic relations between Japan and the Philippines, July 23 was designated as the official date for the Philippines-Japan Friendship Day.

On the opening day, August 7 (Wednesday) at 7PM showing “About Her Brother”. On the second day, August 8 (Thursday) featuring “Confessions” at 7PM.  On August 9 (Friday) “Parade” will be shown.

There will be three films to be screened Saturday, August 10. The first one is “Japan, Our Homeland” at 1:30PM, followed by “Mai Mai Miracle” at 4:30PM, and “Dear Doctor” at 7:00PM.

Another 3 exciting movies on Sunday, August 11 which include “Rinco’s Restaurant” at 1:30PM, “ALWAYS-Sunset on the Third Street- 2” at 4:30PM, and the last one “KAMUI” at 7:00PM.
