MANILA, Philippines — Aabot sa 36 na lugar sa bansa ang nakaranas kahapon ng “dangerous” heat index, ayon sa Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Naramdaman ang heat index na 47°C sa Dagupan City, Pangasinan, habang ang Aparri, Cagayan ay may heat index na 46°C.Aabot naman sa 45°C sa Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Bacnotan, La Union; Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; Isabela State University (ISU) sa Echague, Isabela; at Baler, Aurora.Maaaring maramdaman ang heat index na 44°C sa Sinait, Ilocos Sur; Casiguran, Aurora; Coron, Palawan; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Aborlan, Palawan; at Dumangas, Iloilo.

Naramdaman din ang heat index na 43°C sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) sa Pasay City; Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) sa Batac, Ilocos Norte; Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) sa Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya; Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Virac, Catanduanes; Iloilo City, Iloilo; Guiuan, Silangang Samar; at Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur.

Aabot naman ang heat index sa 42°C sa mga lugar ng Science Garden sa Que­zon City; Iba, Zambales; Clark Airport, Pampanga; Central Luzon State University (CLSU) sa Muñoz, Nueva Ecija; Cubi Pt., Subic Bay, Olongapo; Sangley Point, Cavite; Legazpi City, Albay, Central Bicol State University (CBSUA) sa Pili, Camarines Sur; Roxas City, Capiz; Mambusao, Capiz; La Granja, La Carlota, Negros Occidental; Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte; Davao City, Davao del Sur; at Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.
