[Title] => Sense, simplicity & practicality
[Summary] => When it comes to technology, "simplicity" is not the first word that comes to mind, but with Philips Consumer Electronics, it may very well be. Under the new slogan "Sense and Simplicity," Philips puts under one big umbrella campaign all that it stands for, whether you’re talking about its medical division, lighting, or consumer electronics. For users, it simply means ease of use and outstanding design. Or, to put it another way: You can lose the manual without losing your mind when you’re operating a Philips product.

Another survey, on TechTV, asked: What is the one household appliance that people sleep with? The answer: The TV remote. Even chefs, I would think, wouldn’t sleep with their food processors!

One popular restaurant in the new Greenbelt is getting a bad reputation because of the food it is serving. One statuesque society lady recently had dinner there. She ordered what she was made to believe was one of the specialties of the house. Well, palanggas, to her shock, her order turned out to be "real bad." So bad that the lady promised "never to return." She said it all in three words: "The food sucks!" Ooops!

How many gadgets are they bringing in? Would I have time to shop?

These thoughts churned in my head when I attended the 5th Philips Media Conference on April 2 and 3, held in Bangkok, Thailand.
