                    [Summary] => Weighed down by declining consumer spending, the automotive industry suffered a 13.6-percent drop in sales in the first seven months of the year and industry experts said they are not expecting demand to pick up in the latter part of the year.


Data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI)  show that total industry sales declined by 13.6 percent to 42,604 units from January to July this year compared with last year’s 49,302 units.
