If the rumors are true that the 2006 Metro Manila Film Festival would be the last we'll ever have of this controversial award-giving circus, I can think of around ten immediate reasons why: the nine participating films, and the fact that they allowed Mother Lily four entries this time. And that's just the tip of an iceberg more reliable people, including veteran actress Celia Rodriguez and Star Cinema producer Malou Santos, have recently tried to crack.

Kung magkaka-totoo ang aming narinig, siguradong ikatutuwa nito dahil comeback movie niya ang Matakot Ka Sa Karma at may rason na siyang ipagpatuloy ang pag-aartista.

I have so far seen four of the nine movies entered in the Metro Manila Film Festival which opens on Christmas day. The latest two I screened were "Matakot Ka Sa Karma" and "Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo."


"Matakot Ka Sa Karma" is a horror film starring Gretchen Barretto, Rica Peralejo and Angelica Panganiban. It's a trilogy written and directed by Jose Javier Reyes.


Each episode runs for 30 minutes.


The whole movie revolves around the occult powers of antique objects like beds and closets.

Nang tanungin kung ano ang similarity nila ng mga kasamang sina Pops Fernandez at Zsazsa Padilla ay sinabing masaya ang dalawa.
