[Summary] => Dorothy Delasin moved up to fifth place with a 70 but fell five strokes off defending champion Annika Sorenstam, who wrested the lead from two-day leader Jen Hanna with a sizzling 67 in the third round of the rich Welch’s/Circle K Championship in Tuczon, Arizona Saturday.

Delasin, who was four shots behind Hanna at sixth at the start of the round, birdied two of the last six holes to card a 35-35 round at the Randolf Park Golf Course as the Fil-Am Rookie of the Year tied Deb Richard (70) at 205 heading into the final 18 holes of the $750,000 championship.

Three birdies at the frontside of the Randolf Park Golf Course, the backside of her game, spiked Delasin’s four-under card of 32-36 as the Fil-Am shotmaker, who opened her bid here with a 67, pooled a 135 to remain in joint sixth, four behind Hanna.

Fil-Am Dorothy Delasin shot her second 69 in three days but dropped another stroke off new leader and fellow rookie Jen Hanna in a torrid third round scoring Saturday in the Subaru Memorial of Naples tournament in Naples, Florida.

The 19-year-old Delasin regained the form that anchored her fine start in the LPGA Tour as she bounced back from that mediocre 72 in the second round to pool a six-under 210 aggregate after 54 holes of the $850,000 event.

But that hardly boosted her bid for the top $127,500 purse as Delasin fell seven strokes off Henna heading into the final round [DatePublished] => 2000-01-24 00:00:00 [ColumnID] => 133272 [Focus] => 0 [AuthorID] => [AuthorName] => [SectionName] => Sports [SectionUrl] => sports [URL] => ) [3] => Array ( [ArticleID] => 97809 [Title] => Dorothy makes cut; Jenny falls [Summary] =>
