Ubisoft Philippines marks 10th year with biggest game project yet

With the release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft Philippines conquers its most ambitious project yet.

MANILA, Philippines — Ubisoft Philippines has released Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, marking the studio’s biggest project to date as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.

The game is Ubisoft Philippines’ 13th AAA title and was codeveloped with lead studio Ubisoft Singapore as part of a global collaboration involving Ubisoft teams from several countries.

For the remake, the Philippine team led the development of gameplay features such as Forts and Harpooning, while also working on key locations, including Kingston, Port Royale and Long Bay.

The title marks the eighth Assassin’s Creed game developed with contributions from Ubisoft Philippines, with Associate Producer Alfonse Angliongto describing it as the first project where the studio was given full responsibility for a project of that scale.

According to the studio, developers studied player feedback and community discussions to preserve the original game’s most popular features while updating the experience for modern audiences.

The Philippine team also contributed to several story missions, side activities, world design, audio production and quality assurance for the remake.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox and PC.
