Mbilli elevated to WBC super middleweight champion

PARIS, France — French boxer Christian Mbilli was elevated to WBC super middleweight world champion (-76.2 kg) on Tuesday (Wednesday Manila time), his promoter announced in a statement.
Mbilli had held the WBC interim super middleweight title since June 2025.
The 30-year-old reclaims the official title which was stripped from American boxer Terence Crawford in December following a financial dispute with the WBC.
The WBC is one of the four major boxing federations.
