MANILA, Philippines -- The Converge FiberXers have parted ways with guard Mac Tallo, the team said Wednesday.

This after  Tallo was caught playing in a ligang labas.

In a statement, the FiberXers said that they decided let go of the crafty playmaker after supposed infractions of his uniform players’ contract.

Tallo played in the Sinulag Cup for the Z’Nars Jewelers-Marawi City in the Sinulog Cup 2024 Basketball Tournament.

A report by Freeman Cebu Sports said that Tallo was eventually named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament after finishing with 21 points, seven assists and four rebounds over the OCCI Sheermasters of Ormoc.

“Following a thorough investigation, it was confirmed that Mac Tallo had confirmed several infractions of his uniform players’ contract. This includes playing in unsanctioned games without seeking clearance from Converge Management and the Philippine Basketball Association,” Converge said in a statement.

“The Converge FiberXers have decided to terminate his contract,” it added.

Last year, Tallo departed the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 team and later signed with the FiberXers.

He averaged 7.0 points, 2.0 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game in five contests for Converge in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
