Free karate lessons slated in Manila

Yupangco, also president of Comchest (Community Chest Foundation Inc.) and Inserto, vice president and treasurer of Bangko ng Kabuhayan, the first Rural Bank in the Philippines, sealed the joint effort that will benefit young and senior karate aspirants.

MANILA, Philippines — Manila Councilor Raymundo Yupangco (5th District) and Sikaran-Karate Association of the Philippines (SIKAP) president Manny Inserto recently signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) on the staging of free karate lessons beginning on Feb. 1.

Yupangco, also president of Comchest (Community Chest Foundation Inc.) and Inserto, vice president and treasurer of Bangko ng Kabuhayan, the first Rural Bank in the Philippines, sealed the joint effort that will benefit young and senior karate aspirants.

The free lessons are scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Comchest Center located at 1906 San Pascual Street, Malate, Manila.

Aside from Inserto, a seasoned karate instructor, two other notable instructors, second Dan black-belter Boy Eli Jr. and first Dan black-belter Tony Dacalos, will handle the classes.
