MANILA, Philippines — Boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. is back in Manila for a business trip that has nothing much to do with a dream rematch against retired Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather flew in from Japan on board his private plane late Tuesday evening.

The 45-yar-old American is fresh from a second-round knockout of mixed martial arts fighter Mikuru Asakura at the Saitama Super Arena last Sunday with Pacquiao, who will turn 44 on Dec. 17, at ringside.

But Mayweather doused cold water on a possible rematch of their record-setting clash won by Mayweather in 2015.

“I retired from the sport, I didn’t let the sport retire me. I’m not going to get in there – no former fighters, former world champions putting any more abuse on my body,” he said

But an insider said Mayweather, who is here for a project with Frontrow Philippines, is looking forward to meet Pacquiao anew.

“Maybe a small dinner. Mayweather-Pacquiao Part 2? We’ll see,” said the insider.
