Echo proves 'favorite' tag with unbeaten start in MPL PH

MANILA, Philippines — Echo's dream team has proven they are the team to beat this season as the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) goes offline for the first time since Season 6.

Prior to the start of Season 9, the Games and Amusement Board (GAB) had given Moonton Games the green light to conduct the season onsite, starting Week 3. Though Metro Manila is under Alert Level 1, fans will still have to make do with streams as spectators are still not allowed in the venue.

Echo's all-star team took the week's spotlight as they remained undefeated, sweeping season rivals RSG, 2-0. They take the top spot in the rankings with 14 points from five wins and zero losses.

Smart Omega secured back-to-back victories against ONIC PH and Nexplay EVOS to climb up the standings to seventh place while reigning champions Blacklist International finally secured a win at the expense of winless Bren Esports, which still rests at the bottom of the pack.

After suffering back-to-back defeats from TNC and ECHO, RSG managed to stop Blacklist's winning momentum, 2-1. They currently sit at rank two in the standings with 11 points, from four wins and two losses.

TNC, Nexplay Evos and Onic PH all share identical 3-2 records but TNC leads them in points with 11. Nexplay Evos has nine and ONIC eight.

Bren seeks its first win in the first match-up of Week Four against Smart Omega while Echo hopes to remain undefeated against Onic.
