MANILA, Philippines — SIBOL, the country's national esports team welcomed two new teams last Friday as it concluded the National Team Selection for League of Legends Wild Rift for the men's and women's division at the upcoming Southeast Asian Games.

GrindSky Esports ERIS, who already made headlines after winning the SEA eSports Championship 2021 Wild Rift Tournament last January, proved that they are the top women's Wild Rift team in the country as they overcame four other squads to clinch the opportunity to be the first all-female team in SIBOL.

Their male counterparts GrindSky Esports, however, fell short in the Upper Bracket finals against Fennel Adversity, the Asia Wild Rift League champions, in the men's division.

But Fennel Adversity met its match in another team, LF Adoption.

LF Adoption swept through the qualifiers and group stages undefeated, only dropping one game in its entire run.

They then swept Fennel Adversity, 3-0, to clinch the SIBOL spot for men's Wild Rift.

SIBOL's Phase 2 qualifiers for the National Team continues with CrossFire on February 13.

It will be streamed live on their Facebook page.

Meanwhile, registrations for Arena of Valor, Garena Free Fire, FIFA ONLINE 4, and League of Legends PC close Saturday.
