MANILA, Philippines — More than 70 championship fights are set as Metro Manila’s upcoming cockers and veteran gamefowl breeders vie in the Ace and Elbie 4-Cock Derby at the Pasay City Cockpit today.
Invited by PCC matchmaker Goody Ace Lamboloto and the Elbie Pasay group are the regulars from Roligon, Elorde Stadium, Las Piñas Coliseum, San Juan Coliseum, Sta. Monica Cockpit and National Cockers Alliance (NCA).
The co-champions in last week’s cockfest with 4-0 (win-loss) cards each were Renato Shio/AA (Panda), Rolando Galvez of Majayjay, Laguna (Neneng B) and Top Jun Matanghari entry.
Today’s event, supported by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, has a guaranteed prize of P300,000.
The 2020 LGBA Cocker of the Year race comes next at PCC on Feb. 14.
Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) president Nick Crisostomo said the COTY winner will receive P500,000 plus a silver cup from Sagupaan Sagricultural Products, Inc.
