Bulldogs buck slow start, draw first blood vs Tams

QUEZON CITY, Philippines — The NU Bulldogs moved one win away from back-to-back UAAP men's volleyball titles after besting FEU in four sets, 21-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-18 in Game One of the finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.

Led by the heroics of Bryan Bagunas and James Natividad, NU was able to weather the gritty Tamaraws.

Despite an opening set loss, NU was able to bounce back with explosive hits and well-timed blocks against the Tamarraw offense.

Richard Solis and Jude Garcia were go-to scorers for FEU in the losing effort.

The Tamaraws will now face a do-or-die situation in Game Two on Wednesday.
