UP Manila suspends Wednesday afternoon classes for UAAP game

MANILA, Philippines — Hours before the knockout UAAP semifinals game of the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons against Adamson Soaring Falcons, its Manila branch announced the suspension of afternoon classes.

On a social media announcement, UP Manila said the Office of the Chancellor called off classes from 12 p.m. onwards for the UAAP game. The cancellation of afternoon classes was announced by Chief Administrative Officer Norina Esmillarin.

The deciding game between the Maroons and the Falcons tips off at 3:30 p.m. at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Online ticket-selling website TicketNet earlier announced that the do-or-die game is already sold-out.

UP announced that it will set up a livestream of the game in the following areas in its UP Diliman campus:

AS Lobby 
Sunken Garden
Melchor Hall P&G
University theater

Meanwhile, UP’s rival Adamson earlier announced the suspension of afternoon work and classes so that the community can watch the game live.
