Pacquiao on US press tour to promote fight

MANILA, Philippines — How Adrien Broner will conduct and carry himself in front of Manny Pacquiao will be worth watching.

The two fighters, who will face each other inside the ring on Jan. 19 in Las Vegas, will figure in a quick two-city press tour on Nov. 19 and 20.

The 29-year-old Broner, who has shown arrogance even in public places, will meet Pacquiao for the first time.

Pacquiao, who turns 40 on Dec. 17, will defend the WBA welterweight crown, which he took from Lucas Matthysse last July.

Broner has been quite visible on social media lately – but not for good reasons. He’d been posting videos of himself getting into verbal altercations with the ordinary people, whether it’s at the airport, the taxi line or a fast food restaurant.

Pacquiao and his small entourage left for New York yesterday afternoon, joined by his wife Jinkee and just a couple of others.

Buboy Fernandez, the Filipino head trainer, hooks up with Pacquiao in the Big Apple in time for the press launch at the Gotham Hall on Nov. 19.

The following day, Pacquiao and Broner will be at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills for the second stop of the press tour.

Then they part ways to train, and the next time they see each other will be on fight week in Las Vegas.
