Teng-less Titans face winless Dragons

MANILA, Philippines - AMA Online Education hopes to buck the absence of main man Jeron Teng as it tangles with winless Blustar at the resumption today of the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup at the JCSGO gym in Cubao.

Teng, the league’s top scorer, is with the Mighty Sports team in Dubai but the Titans, toting a 4-2 card, remain the heavy favorites in their 3 p.m. encounter with the Dragons, who remain winless after four starts.

Batangas and Wangs Basketball, meanwhile, clash in a duel of struggling teams at 5 p.m. The Batangueños and the Couriers have only one win to show in five games.

AMA coach Mark Herrera believes his wards can hold the Dragons off even without Teng.

“We don’t rely totally on Jeron. We also have players who are willing to step up. We’ll just have to adjust,” said Herrera.
