MANILA, Philippines - The “FIGBA Sabayan Para Sa Masa 8-Stag Derby”, which drew 3,301 entries, will have its grand finals today in 32 venues nationwide.
There are 632 qualifiers with 2, 2.5 and 3 points who will compete in the five-stag finale.
For Cagayan Valley breeders, finals is moved to Oct. 26 due to effects of typhoon Lawin. Laguna breeders will compete in LDB Complex (Candelaria, Quezon) while MMGBA members see action in Blue Mountain Arena (Antipolo).
“Sabayan” is organized by the International Federation of Gamefowl Breeders Associations (Figba), the group behind the 2016 National Bakbakan 12-Stag Derby.
Figba president Ricoy Palmares Jr. said the 2016 “Bakbakan” goes full blast next week with the series of qualifying rounds that will culminate with the grand finals in December.
